of the Baptist Student Union/Cross Seekers.
The BSU provides ministry and outreach to the college
community through Bible Studies, fellowship, and outreach.
Christ
on the Coast 2004--March 6-7, 2004
Christ
on the Coast is an annual community outreach and ministry
project organized by the Baptist Student Union. The
main event of the weekend is the Music Festival, usually
held in the San Luis Obispo Mission Plaza. Throughout
the day, local Christian bands perform as children,
families, and people from all walks of life enjoy the
beautiful Central Coast weather, music and fellowship.
Our
third annual event has just passed and it was a great
success!! At one point throughout the Music Festival,
over 250 people were singing and dancing to the music in
addition to the estimated 1,000 people who walked through
the plaza throughout the event. To begin, we would
like to especially thank the event supporters, Foothill
Baptist Church and Cal Poly Associated Students, Inc.
In addition, we would like to thank the groups who provided
music and entertainment: Lifeway Church of Santa Maria, Set
Free Ministries and "Brothahood". Also, a special thanks
to Don Wilkerson of Central Baptist Church Bakersfield for
presenting the message during Sunday's Worship
